What to expect?
The start of the trip is at Ķūķu Rocks (the highest rock in Latvia). It is a very beautiful and impressive natural formation. The route is calm and therefore suitable for families with children and boaters with no previous experience.
On this route you will explore most of Gauja Canyon and see the Ķūķu Rapids, Līgatne Crossing and the most impressive Devonian outcrops on both sides of the river. Including: Ķūķu (the highest in Latvia), Līņu, Enkura, Spriņģu, Jumpravu, Katrīnas, Glūdu, Launaga, Elpu, Sandstone Rocks. The trip will end in Sigulda, Latvia’s most beloved city, where you will have an unprecedented view of Turaida Castle from the river.
At the final destination, in Sigulda, at the campsite “Dainas”, our staff will meet you and take you back to your car. If you want to stay for longer, we offer a delicious dinner in our outdoor restaurant “MUNO” in Sigulda.
Be ready!
At the beginning of this route it would be advisable to take the boat by yourself about 200 m to Ķūķu Rocks. If you are unable, don’t worry, our instructors will help you.
